Welcome to Mud!
I've been playing ACNH since it first came out in 2020, but in 2022 I restarted my island as I had gotten bored of the theme, the name, and other things you just can't change without resetting. Mud is the result of that change! It's a forestcore / goblincore island, set in Autumn at night.
Two humans live on Mud - myself AKA Pippin, and my girlfriend Fliss, however Fliss lives in a tent in the campsite. I love having the tent always up, it makes the campsite feel more alive in a way that the Kids Tent item just doesn't. It just looks so cute!
You can find the campsite by heading up the ramp beside the airport. There's usually at least one or two tents available to sleep in, so feel free to use one of ours or bring your own!
There's plenty to check out on Mud, but one of my favourite little spots is this outdoor library. It's super cosy, and you can settle down on the mossy floor with a good book. There's nothing quite like reading to the glow of a mushroom.
Something to be aware of when visiting Mud is that there can be areas of the island that are a little dangerous. Take the mushroom forest, for instance. Unles you are extremely confident about your mushroom identification skills, I urge you not to eat any of the mushrooms you can find here. The apples, however, are perfectly safe to eat!
If you're really curious about the mushrooms though, feel free to chat to some of our other residents who live beside the mushroom forest. They're the local experts and have been living around the mushrooms for years now so know a thing or two about which mushrooms are safe!
If you get really hungry though, you should check out our seafood market situated in the north east side of the island. You can grab a variety of locally produced tasty goodies and even sit beside the port. It's unlikely you'll see any boats out at sea at this time of night but you can still see the boats tied up at the dock.
There's plenty more to see on Mud but here are a few more highlights. I hope you enjoy your visit, and if you do please let me know what you think in the guestbook!
